Every year, the NBA Summer League is full of unproven rookies and veteran free agents hoping to catch someone’s eye, helping lead to fulfilling the dream of landing on a real NBA roster. Typically, each team only has maybe one roster spot to gun for. Oddly enough, that’s not the case for the team considered now to be the odds-on favorite to win next year’s NBA title. In a Monday news conference, Mountain West Conference commissioner Craig Thompson said the league would take a proactive approach to the league expansion going on across the country.
